The Hive Berlin Blog Conference

This weekend I’ll hopefully be learning lots of new things about the world of blogging as well as making lots of new blog pals along the way. Yes, today I am on a flight to Berlin to attend The Hive Blog Conference this weekend.

The Hive Blog Conference

The Hive, created by Peggy, Yvonne and Radostina, is a European Blog Conference taking place for the first time May 19-20th 2012 at the Betahaus in Berlin.

“The Hive created a blog conference where design and lifestyle bloggers in all their forms— foodies, photographers, mum bloggers, travelers, fashionistas, interior designers, product placers, adventurers — come together, share ideas and connect.

There will be discussions on how to grow your site, how to fund your site, how to keep your site above the fray. Legal topics as well as how a blog can change your life. You will find keynotes on blogging etiquette and blogging ethics.

Friends will be made. Contact books will be filled.

Writers from big and small blogs get together at The Hive to learn, network, share, support and most of all: get inspired!

We are planning workshops as well as networking breaks so that everybody will leave The Hive blog conference with new ideas, new contacts and a happy feeling.”

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be attending. I’ve never been to Berlin before so I’m curious to see if the city will match my expectations. I’m beginning to wish, however, that I had given myself a little longer to explore the city around the conference – 48 hours just won’t be long enough – I’ll have to make sure I make another tip to Berlin again to soak up more of the atmosphere. The experience of attending the conference will be something special!

Euros in hand, I am flying out with Caroline and Ursula, then meeting and sharing accommodation with Tina, Chinyere and Toni. The fabulous Tina has arranged our stay at Amano. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it with photographs next week!
